Fast Facts about Tualatin High School

Tualatin High School is a four-year comprehensive school serving approximately 1750+ students. It is accredited by the Northwest Association of Schools and Colleges. A staff of more than 80 teachers provides a complete academic and activity program.

Our school’s TAG (Talented and Gifted) population has averaged 18-20% as compared to the national average of 2.64%.

School Day

Tualatin High School operates on a four block day. The regular school day alternates between “A” and “B” days each day. Each student has a schedule of 8 periods, with 4 periods on each day, as follows:

Each class is about 90 minutes long. Some classes, such as US History are assigned to two periods and meet every day for one semester. Others, such as Foreign language, meet every other day for the entire year. Because of this schedule, students are able to earn 8 credits per school year. The school year consists of two semesters, 18 weeks each, with report cards issued at each nine-week grading period.
